Community Standards

We aim to build a positive, safe and welcoming environment to enhance household engagement in meal planning, preparation and shopping, and for all people, including minors, to joyfully acquire excellent culinary skills. To that end, we have created the following 7 Community Guidelines and Standards:

  1. Harm prevention: All users commit to using the Kitchen Copilot Website and App (collective “the Service”) strictly for the purposes for which it was intended and to demonstrate deep commitment to the principle and practice of harm prevention. Content and communication that promotes human exploitation, is physically or psychologically abusive of any human, or includes or can be interpreted as child sexual abuse material (CSAM), nudity, grooming, sextortion, solicitation, pedophilia, promotion of harmful and unsafe cooking techniques, or the misuse of kitchen tools (whether that content is real, fictional, digitally created or shown in fine art or objects or not is strictly forbidden.

  2. Fostering Civility: Community sharing on the Service is strictly restricted to the respectful exchanging of recipes, culinary experiences, shopping lists and content that is appropriate for all ages, including minors, and celebrates the diversity in the culinary traditions of our users. Community sharing, content and communication that threatens, harasses, humiliates, degrades, bullies and demeans the culinary experiences and choices of others is strictly forbidden.

  3. Ethic of Reciprocity: By using the Service, you indicate that you share our commitment to the principle and practice of the ethic of reciprocity or The Golden Rule, i.e. to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and to ensuring that you and members of your household, including minors, that may be operating a subsidiary or stand-alone account under your legal covering and authority share that commitment.

  4. Constructive Feedback: By using the Service, you accept and share our commitment to constructive and supportive feedback that recognizes the subjectivity of culinary tastes and practices, and our commitment to ensuring that hostile, critical and disparaging feedback is kept away from all our platforms.

  5. Protection of Individual Privacy: By using the Service, you agree not to share others' personal information without explicit consent, including addresses, phone numbers, and any identifiable information, and to respect the privacy of conversations and information shared in private groups or messages.

  6. Legal Compliance: By using the Service, you agree to adhere to all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and all laws related to food safety, preparation, and sharing.

  7. Enforcement and Reporting: By using the Service, you share our commitment to taking these guidelines seriously and to helping us enforce them. Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, temporary bans, or permanent account deactivation. If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to us immediately through the app or website reporting features.

We may update or add to these Community Standards and Guidelines based on user-feedback, changes to the Service or applicable laws. You will be notified of any changes through an in-app message, email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice in the Service.
